I am going to be building a practice table and I'm going to order the rubber Diamond Pyramid stuff from Gambler's General Store. I wanted to also get some practice dice. I know there was a discussion about dice a while back. Which dice that they sell would best resemble the real casino dice as far as size, weight, movement, etc?

PorkChop

Buy the NEW five die sticks at Gamblers Store.  They are about $10 per stick, but well worth it.

PS - For practice - get TWO sticks with TWO seperate colors, (ten die total).

From the Gamblers General Store I received one stick (5 dice) of red dice and one stick of green dice, smooth as opposed to sanded, and I believe that the dice are casino perfect as advertised. Later I'm going to get red and green sticks of the sanded dice to make sure that I get practice with both kinds, smooth and sanded, because I've read from other guys at this site that some casinos use smooth and others use sanded.

Jonathan

Thanks for those responses. I was getting ready to ask about weather I should get smooth or sanded. I have been playing mainly in Tunica so the dice seemed smooth therefore I'll start out with those. And I'm also guessing that I need to get the 3/4" dice?

Heavy

Yeah, you can get sanded finish, the polished finish, razor edge or feathered edge. All sorts of combos available in three different sizes. But the 3/4 inch razor edge are pretty much standard - and I prefer the polished as well.
