Strategy #18 - Part II

STEPLADDER ON THE DARK SIDE

(CONSERVATIVE)

BETTING AGAINST A NEW SHOOTER

MAKING 2 CONSECUTIVE PASS LINE WINS.

ALL BETS: DON’T PASS, WITH NO ODDS.  3 STAGES, TOTALING 27 UNITS.

 STAGE 1:   2, 3 units

 STAGE 2:   4, 5 units

 STAGE 3:   6, 7 units

 THE BASIC BETTING PROGRESSION

AFTER EACH LOSS, INCREASE THE NEXT BET BY 1 UNIT.

AFTER EACH WIN, DECREASE THE NEXT BET BY 1 UNIT.

AFTER 2 CONSECUTIVE LOSSES, STOP BETTING, AND WAIT FOR THE SEVEN-OUT BEFORE CONTINUE THE BETTING PROGRESSION AGAINST THE NEXT SHOOTER.

STAGE 1

START WITH 2 UNITS AGAINST A NEW SHOOTER.

IF THE 2 BET LOSES, BET 3 AGAINST THE NEXT COME-OUT ROLL. IF 3 BET LOSES, WAIT FOR NEXT SHOOTER, GO STAGE 2

IF THE 3 BET WINS, REGRESS THE NEXT BET BACK TO 2.

IF THE 2 BET WINS, CONTINUE WITH THE SAME BET. AFTER 3 CONSECUTIVE WINS, INCREASE TO 3 UNITS. AFTER 2 MORE WINS AT 3 UNITS, END THE SESSION.

(SEE: SUGGESTED STOP/ WIN LIMIT)

 STAGE 2

AGAINST THE NEXT SHOOTER, START WITH 4 UNITS.

AFTER A LOSS, INCREASE THE NEXT BET TO 5.

AFTER A WIN, REGRESS THE NEXT BET TO 3.

IMPORTANT: IF THE 4-UNIT BET WINS, THE NEXT BET WILL BE 3, AND

STAGE 2 NOW BECOMES 3 AND 4 UNITS, INSTEAD OF 4 AND 5 UNITS.

(AT THIS POINT, 4 CONSECUTIVE LOSSES WOULD END THE SESSION,

AND THE 7-UNIT BET WOULD NOT BE MADE.)

2 CONSECUTIVE WINS OF 4 AND 3 REVERTS BETTING BACK TO STAGE 1.

STAGE 3

AGAINST THE NEXT SHOOTER, IF THE 6 BET WINS, THE NEXT BET WILL BE 5.

STAGE 3 NOW BECOMES 5 AND 6 UNITS, INSTEAD OF 6 AND 7 UNITS.

(AT THIS POINT, 2 CONSECUTIVE LOSSES WOULD END THE SESSION,

AND THE 7-UNIT BET WOULD NOT BE MADE.)

2 CONSECUTIVE WINS OF 6 AND 5 REVERTS BETTING BACK TO STAGE 2,

AND STAGE 3 ONCE AGAIN BECOMES 6 AND 7.

 THEORY BEHIND THE STEPLADDER

AFTER THE FIRST 2-UNIT BET OF STAGE 1, EACH WIN RECOVERS THE PREVIOUS LOSING BET, AND YIELDS A PROFIT OF 1 UNIT. GOING UP AND DOWN THE STEPLADDER PRODUCES 1-UNIT PROFITS WHEN THE  “LOSE ONE / WIN ONE”, OR  “WIN ONE / LOSE ONE”  PATTERNS OCCUR. A SESSION CONSISTING OF THE SAME NUMBER OF WINNING AND LOSING BETS BECOMES A WINNING SESSION, INSTEAD OF BREAKING EVEN MAKING THE SAME FLAT BETS ALL THE TIME.

EXAMPLE:  - 2 +3, - 2 +3, - 2 +3  ( = +3)

                      +5 –4, +5 –4, +5 –4 ( = +3)

EXAMPLE:  LOSE 3 IN A ROW:   - 2, - 3, - 4  ( - 9)

           THEN, WIN 3 IN A ROW:   +5, +4, +3  (+12)

IMPORTANT:

ALL 1-UNIT PROFITS FROM WINNING BETS SHOULD BE LOCKED UP, AND NEVER BE BROUGHT INTO PLAY DURING THE CURRENT SESSION. IN THE EVENT OF THE LOSS OF ALL 3 STAGES, THEY WILL MAKE THE BUY-IN FOR A NEW SESSION THAT MUCH LESS THAN THE REQUIRED 27 UNITS.

27-UNIT BUY-INS:         @ $    5  -  $  135

                                                    @ $  10  -  $  270

                                                     @ $  25  -  $  675

                                                     @ $100  -   $2700

SUGGESTED STOP / WIN LIMIT:   6 - 10 UNITS PER SESSION.

!!   STEPLADDER  FOR THE MORE AGGRESSIVE BETTOR   !!

EXACTLY THE SAME BETTING STRATEGY AS ABOVE, USING

21 UNITS, AS FOLLOWS:

STAGE 1:   1, 2

STAGE 2:   3, 4

STAGE 3:   5, 6

(SUGGESTED STOP / WIN LIMIT OF 6 – 10 UNITS MAY BE REACHED MUCH MORE QUICKLY COMPARED TO THE CONSERVATIVE METHOD)
